My biggest musical influences have been able to synthesize virtuosic and intellectual approaches to their instruments with beautiful melodies, including but not limited to Alexander Scriabin, Frederic Chopin, Art Tatum, Bud Powell, Jaki Byard, Andrew Hill, John Coltrane, and bands such as Monster Machismo and Dan Drake Ensemble (special shout-out to Stefan Milojevic for introducing me to these last two).

I encourage everyone to embrace their dissonances with other perspectives and to investigate them; that, to me, is being a 'real artist'.

I’m grateful for all the support that my friends and fellow musicians have given me while I’ve been developing my ideas. Anyone who has engaged in the dialogue about music with me has been an important part of the process, including (and perhaps especially) those who I frequently disagree with.

Significant gratitude to Justin Salisbury for his encouragement and effort; without his contributions this would not have come to fruition. Thanks to Eivind Opsvik for thorough mastering work.
